Why choose a program

Individual courses suit a single topic. Many situations are broader than that. A notification about prescribing, for example, calls for understanding the regulatory process, demonstrating insight, writing a reflective statement and learning the prescribing standards themselves. Programs bring those courses together, in a suggested order, so each one builds on the last and the written work you produce tells a consistent story.

Every program is priced at 25% less than buying its courses separately, with the saving applied automatically in the cart. Each course inside still issues its own certificate of completion, so you can record each topic separately in your CPD log.

How to choose

If you are facing a concern

Take advice from your indemnity insurer, medical defence organisation or lawyer first. Then start with the process and reflection, and add topic learning that matches the specific issue raised. The Ahpra notification help page explains the first steps, and the concerns hub maps each notification category to courses. If a condition requires education, check whether the Board must approve your nomination before you start.

If you are planning CPD

The Ethics and Professionalism Complete Program gives the widest coverage. Add your own profession's ethics or professional standards course from your profession page for Board-specific content, and use the CPD hours planner to map hours against your standard.

If no program fits exactly

Build your own set of courses. Bulk buy applies 10% off any five courses and 20% off ten or more, automatically in the cart. The course finder can suggest a combination.

Avoiding overlap

Some courses appear in more than one program. The Insight, Reflection and Remediation Program is entirely contained within the Notification Response Program, so you only need one of them. The Ethics and Professionalism Complete Program shares courses with the communication, boundaries, probity, clinical and insight programs, and the privacy course appears in both the Probity and Records and Practice Compliance programs. If you plan to combine programs, contact us first so you do not pay twice for the same course.

Honest about what a program can do

Practitioner Ethics is an independent education provider. Programs are not accredited by Ahpra or any National Board, you record the actual time spent against your own CPD plan, and no course can guarantee any regulatory outcome.

Questions about programs

How much do I save with a program?

Each program costs 25% less than the total price of the courses inside it. The saving is applied automatically when you add the program to your cart.

Do I get one certificate or several?

Each course in the program issues its own certificate of completion, recording approximate learning time, once you pass that course's assessment.

Can I swap a course out of a program?

Programs have a fixed set of courses. If you need a different mix, choose any five or more courses through bulk buy, which applies a multi-buy saving instead.

Can I combine a program discount with bulk buy?

The cart shows the price that applies before you pay. If you are combining programs and individual courses, contact us beforehand and we will explain the best way to buy.

Are programs suitable for every profession?

Yes. Courses are written for all registered health practitioners in Australia and refer to the codes of conduct that apply to each profession.

Can my employer buy a program for a team?

Yes. Organisations can buy for several staff through team licences. See the organisations section for details.
